The youth journey
The purpose of the project was to contribute to the development of leisure opportunities in Bergslagen, strengthen the social belonging of young people, attract young people to associations and provide opportunities for networking for continued joint youth activities within the Leader area. The goal was to carry out at least ten trips for young people from the Leader area in collaboration with local actors such as associations and leisure centres.

Goals and objectives
The purpose of the Leader project YOUTH TRIP was to contribute to the development of leisure opportunities in Bergslagen, strengthen young people's social belonging, attract young people to associations and provide opportunities for networking for continued joint youth activities within the Leader area.
The project involved ten trips by and with young people from the Leader area in collaboration with local actors such as associations and recreation centers.
The activities consisted of planning, marketing, implementation of the trips, evaluation and final reporting.

The LAG board has chosen to prioritize Youth Journey1 with approval as it will in its entirety lead to goal achievement according to the local development strategy.
Youth trips enable the creation of new networks, creating joy and community among rural youth.
The project is considered public benefit as the purpose of the project is to engage young people in going on joint trips free of charge.
The trips will benefit many young people. The project benefits residents in rural areas.
