The application process – a three-step rocket
1. Find out about Leader. Come to information meetings that you can find in the calendar, watch recorded youtube movies, read the page about-us.
2. When you know who we are and have an idea that you want to test on us, it's time for the form Test-your-idea. You will have the opportunity to present the idea to the office.
3. If the project is suitable as a Leader, it is time for the project application. You will have the opportunity to carry out a ”project workshop” with the office. Before a project workshop, you will use the material on the page forms and info. For example, you need a power of attorney to access e-service as a customer. The authorization takes about a week for the Swedish Board of Agriculture to process.
Do you already have a power of attorney? Then you might want to read more about: How does the e-service work?
Leader projects don't make quick money, but they can be well worth the trouble and be very good! The board and office look forward to talking about locally led rural development through the Leader method with you!
Leader project application – The three-step process
1. Info meetings
Information meetings of a general nature, digital or physical. The information is also recorded on youtube.
2. Test your idea
Test your idea before applying. To save yourself and us time, it is important to check whether an idea is suitable for implementation as a leader project. The office provides guidance and assistance from the board in the process.
3. Project workshop
These opportunities are for those who want to write a formal application in the Board of Agriculture's e-service. Digital. Pre-registration is required. Limited number of places. You should come to these meetings well prepared. All the necessary documents are available on the page forms and info.
We believe it is an advantage if three from the project group participate in the project workshop, and that you are from at least two sectors. This way we can ensure local support and collaboration with the non-profit sector at an early stage.
The advantage of extensive preparatory work is that the applications will hopefully require fewer additions. And that projects that are projects, but not leader project, are screened early. In this way, we wish to shorten the waiting time for our project applicants.

The coaching office
Leader Bergslagen's board is happy to see local associations and companies apply for and implement leader projects. That's why we call the leader office The coaching office who sees the assignment as a bit of public education on the subject of project bureaucracy.
To visualize, we can say that the coaching office wants to help project applicants to fit their round idea into the Leader Bergslagen triangle and then into the Swedish Board of Agriculture's square!
Arguments are refined – formulations are edited – collaboration partners are attached to the idea.
