Entrepreneurship, quality of life, environment
We have chosen three overarching goals and areas of intervention to work towards achieving our vision.
Strengthened entrepreneurship
Examples of Leader projects can be investments in Reko rings, farm sales, networks to liven up the city, utilizing the potential of online shopping, creating new businesses in old premises, etc. It can involve meeting places that include, for example, public service points, local shops, charging infrastructure, cafes, restaurants, libraries, activity parks, co-working spaces, tourist services, or activity halls. Above all, young entrepreneurship should be promoted.
Increased quality of life
The Leader method fits very well to meet the needs of the people of Bergslagen for community, self-esteem, and self-actualization, as the non-profit and private sectors can be driving forces within them.
Within this area of intervention, there is room for, for example, cultural projects, integration, sports, and other initiatives that enhance quality of life.
We want to facilitate the creation of new meeting places and networks.
Protect the environment
Development potential exists within nature tourism, multi-use, and knowledge-enhancing initiatives about the values of nature.
Development needs within nature include making outdoor life more accessible, for example, by better clearing of hiking trails, developing canoe routes, developing fishery management areas, developing horseback riding, more shooting ranges, etc.
Through Leader projects, we can also increase knowledge about the right of public access and environmental goals.

Project goals
The goal indicators are guiding for the Leader Bergslagen board when projects are to be selected for funding. The projects should achieve goals within one of the three areas of intervention (or several) and lead to us achieving one of the goals in the table ”goal indicators.”.
