NOTE. This page is aimed at those of you who are considering applying for a project check.
Application Leader check – Checks are smaller projects that are easier to apply for and manage.

Test the idea with us before you fill out an application.
I the calendar there are dates for meetings and application periods. We accept questions about projects continuously.

Association check environment – Communities for Climate
Together – in environmental work!
- Max 24,000 SEK excluding VAT, including any shipping and assembly (= 30,000 SEK including VAT with the tax rate 25%)
- 100% financing of the project's cost. Preferably a few receipts – smoother processing.
- NOTE! The check cannot be used as co-financing in a larger investment than 24,000 SEK excluding VAT.
- Your counter-performance: Voluntary contribution corresponding to 30% of the requested funds.
- Voluntary time is valued at 340 SEK/h for persons over 16 years old.

Association check quality of life
When you want to try something new
The purpose of the check is to Improve living conditions for the people of Bergslagen. It can for example be activities for the target group elderly alone.
- Max 30,000 SEK
- NOTE! The check should NOT be used as co-financing in an investment!
- 100% financing of the project's cost.
- Preferably a few receipts – smoother processing.
- Your counter-performance: Voluntary contribution corresponding to 30% of the requested funds.
- Example: A project with costs of 30,000 SEK should have about 27 hours of voluntary time as co-financing.
Youth check
Do something fun for the young!
- 100% financing of the project's cost. Preferably a invoice, not many small ones.
- 30% voluntary contribution as co-financing
- Voluntary time is valued at 340 SEK/h for persons over 16 years old.
Projectideas and projectsexample
- Organize an art club as a leisure activity for young people. The expenses will be 7,000 SEK for two easels, canvases, paper, paint, brushes. Price comparison between two large department stores.
- Host a dance event during the break and invite a professional instructor. The instructor invoices 10,000 SEK for their gig including travel expenses. The assignment includes having two workshops during one afternoon.
- Invite young people one evening to listen to an interesting speaker, an influencer. The influencer invoices 6,000 SEK for their lecture including travel expenses.
- Organize a Talkshow to inspire young people to find their way in life. The Talkshow host invoices for visiting the youth center, activity house, people's house, library – the place where the event takes place.
Corporate check
Half the cost in a small investment
The business check operates within the area of intervention Promoting entrepreneurship in Bergslagen.
The business check finances 50% of actual expenses for small projects where a company is the applicant.
- 50% financing of project costs from Leader.
- 50% private co-financing.
- No investments with a purchase price over 24,000 SEK excluding VAT can be included in the check.
An example of goals and purpose
The goal of the project was to automate the milking of 2 dairy cows in a way that makes it possible to sell unpasteurized milk.
”We wanted to carry out the project as it strengthens our entrepreneurship by giving us a leg to stand on. We currently sell eggs but know that there are customers who demand the product unpasteurized milk. We wanted to test this.”
Use the right logos
Show that it is a leader project
Ask the Leader office to email you the ZIP file with high-resolution logos in various formats.
When you communicate about your project via advertisements, information sheets, social media, websites, and other means, it should be clear that the project is financed by the EU. Two logos need to be visible, which are the EU logo and the Leader Bergslagen logo, which should be clearly visible and readable.
