The year 2026 is the year of the checks

There is still money available to apply for Leader checks. The LAG board makes ongoing decisions throughout the year about the small projects focused on youth, quality of life, business, and the environment. Checks are also available for small feasibility studies, for example, if an association wants to develop its operations.

For larger projects, there are application deadline but there is still an opportunity to apply for checks.

The LAG board makes ongoing decisions throughout the year regarding the Leader checks that are available with a focus on youth, quality of life, business, and the environment. Checks are also available to apply for small preliminary studies, for example, if an association wants to develop its operations.

We update our calendar so you can always find current deadlines and meetings there. See the calendar.

You can apply for the checks continuously throughout the year. They will be discussed at the following decision-making meeting. Link to the checks.

Plan ahead

The office will be fully occupied in 2026 with the implementation of ongoing projects and final reporting. Limited time is available to handle new ideas. Therefore, please plan ahead when contacting the office.

Upcoming decision dates can be found in the calendar.

Please note that we not accept spontaneous applications. Ideas must first be tested with the committee. That is, contact the office and book a time for a meeting.

Worth knowing about how to report a check

Agreement

Before purchases in the project, an agreement must be established between LAG (Leader Bergslagen) and the operator (authorized signatory). This is done via BankID in Formify. The authorized signatory receives a link and can download the agreement after signing.

Implement the project

Implement the project/activity, make the purchases, and itemize the costs.

The information requirement

ALL communication about projects/activities co-financed by the EU must include the correct logo.  No EU flag = no support. The EU flag must not be smaller than the other logos if they are on the same poster. The same rules apply to social media. Please let us see the poster/ad before you publish it.

The guidelines can be read here: https://jordbruksverket.se/stod/eus-politik-for-jordbruk-och-fiske/pengar-fran-eu—anvand-eu-logotyp#h-Dusomfarstodunderperioden20212027 .

The logos are available on our website. https://leaderbergslagen.eu/blanketter-info/

Reporting

Write a short report on the project, how many participated, how it went, and so on.Link to the form: https://leaderbergslagen.eu/slutrapport-checken-paraplyprojekt/

Keep in mind that a project that receives 30000 SEK in support requires about 27 hours of voluntary work. Make a summary of the voluntary hours and save it.

Email the secretariat:

  • Copies of invoices and receipts.
  • Proof of payment showing that the money has left the account.
  • Write a summary of the entire project's expenses and any income. Income reduces the support, good to know. The support should be a zero-sum game, i.e., cover the expenses. Income is counted as private co-financing.
  • Photo documentation of the project.

We are happy to tell about the project on our website and our social media if you share photos that we can publish. We will also have a follow-up conversation to review the outcome of the project's results. Approved checks must be finally accounted for and reported in accordance with the timeframe specified in the agreement for support to be paid out.
