The association check quality of life AGAIN
The purpose of the Quality of Life AGAIN check was to improve living conditions for the people in Bergslagen. The goal was to implement at least eight sub-projects that contributes to our achieving the goal of ”Increased quality of life”. The result was 14 sub-projects which are presented below!

This project has been completed and has journal number 2025-181 at the Swedish Board of Agriculture. The project results are presented below.
Quality of life in the outdoor environment Baggbron
CASE
The project's goal was to develop the garden and the overall impression around Baggbron community center and Bäverdalen playground.
Purpose
The aim was to increase the quality of life for both humans and small animals and plants.
The sub-activity is granted support because a welcoming outdoor environment enhances the quality of life. The project creates increased value for residents and visitors to the community center.
The barbecue area at Vad village cottage
CASE
The goal of the project was to set up a barbecue area at the recreation center in Vad bystuguförening.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to enable safe grilling in connection with the recreation center's youth activities.
Having a barbecue in connection with theme days is a welcome feature in terms of the gathering point the barbecue can become. Leader Bergslagen sees the fact that young people have requested to arrange a theme day for the younger generation as a positive development.
Safe paws in society
CASE
The project was to arrange lectures on responsible dog ownership and leadership for dog owners in Ludvika and the surrounding area.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to promote the quality of life in our society by creating safer dog owners and dogs.
The organizer was Ludvika Working Dog Club.
Associations against involuntary loneliness

The project's goal was to create a common platform for communication for social associations in Nora.

Purpose
The purpose of the project was to increase quality of life and community.
The sub-activity is granted support as there is currently no comprehensive information available about the activities. The LAG board believes this is an important initiative with the ambition to combat involuntary loneliness.
Spring in Kopparberg 10th anniversary
CASE
The project's goal was to offer entertainment and a bouncy castle at Våryran's 10th anniversary in Kopparberg in 2025.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to increase the quality of life for all residents and visitors in Kopparberg.
A guy in a kilt. Lyrics translations
CASE
The project was to produce translations of Harry Lauder's songs for A Man in a Kilt.
Purpose
The aim was to increase the quality of life for residents and visitors in Bergslagen.
The sub-activity is granted support as it contributes to strengthening Nora's brand as a cultural destination. The project is fun and will bring joy and hope to visitors.

Finnish music experience
CASE
The project was to implement a Finnish music experience in Bergslagen.
Purpose
The aim was to increase the quality of life for pensioners in Lindesberg and the surrounding area.
The pensioners' association has an ambition to create contact and cooperation with surrounding Finnish associations in Bergslagen through this activity.

What life was like on Slotterberget
CASE
The project's goal was to develop the activities at Slotterberget by developing a script for dramatized guided tours, as well as props.
Purpose
The aim was to increase the quality of life for residents and visitors.
The guided tours have not previously been done in dramatized form, which is why this is something new and exciting. The support goes towards developing the script for the guided tour, as well as funding for props, rehearsals and marketing if needed.
If it doesn't rain
CASE
The goal was to hold outdoor concerts in fair weather in the summer of 2025.
Purpose
The aim was to increase the quality of life for the Fagerstaborna with more live music at Brinelltorget.
The sub-activity is granted support as this is a very fun idea that will hopefully be able to continue in future summer seasons if the test year turns out well.
Västansjö Disc Golf – By Sportfishing Smedjebacken
CASE
The project's goal was to purchase a few disc golf baskets with accessories.
Purpose
The aim was to develop leisure activities at Söppenmyren and Västansjö.
Quality of life for residents in Yxsjöberg with billiards
CASE
The project's goal was to acquire materials for joint activities in the village, including billiards and boules.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to provide activities that create community and quality of life.
Business development with electrical wiring Studio Kolingen
CASE
The project's goal was to prepare electrical wiring in two workshops to be able to conduct business in Studio Kolingen.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to strengthen Riddarhyttan as a cultural powerhouse.
The sub-activity was granted support because it increases the quality of life if there are workshops with electricity that artists can practice art in safely. The two workshops that will receive electricity through the Leader project will be of benefit to artists from near and far.
Fabulous cultural excursion to Tuvatorp for curious preschool children from Grangärdebygden

The project's goal was to arrange cultural excursions to Tuvatorp with Sagogranen in 2025.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to increase interest in art and culture among young people in the Grangärde area.
The sub-activity is granted support as it is a playful way to stimulate interest in reading through reading aloud under a Fairy Tale Tree.
The project leads to operational development of the tourist destination Tuvatorp.
Access to the fairy tale tree and Tuvatorp's farm yard leads to an increased quality of life for families in Bergslagen.
Bus 501
CASE
The project was to carry out a chartered trip "Bus 501" in Northern Västmanland with artists and other cultural practitioners in the summer of 2025.
Purpose
The aim was to create a pop-up meeting place for the artists and contribute to increased collaboration.
The sub-activity is granted support as it is a project that leads to collaboration and new networks as there is a mix of local artists and visitors. Everyone who goes along participates through a work or contributes in some other way to the journey – making the project a collaborative exercise/performance.

About the project
The LAG board has chosen to prioritize the umbrella project LIFE QUALITY AGAIN with approval as it will in its entirety
to lead to goal achievement according to the local development strategy. The demand has been very high and the LAG board believes that umbrella projects are a good way to stimulate these small local development ideas.
The sub-activities in the umbrella projects are a good way to simplify the administrative process for those seeking support where the activities are small and short-term. The umbrella project QUALITY OF LIFE AGAIN will once again make EU funds more easily accessible to the associations around Bergslagen.
