This post describes how long it takes from submitted application to a decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
We have described the application process itself in a post about the application process. It is a three-step rocket with 1. Information, 2. Testing the idea, 3. Project workshop.
We have described how to fill out the application in a posts about the e-service. You need to have a proxy to be able to represent CUSTOMER in the online application form.
Once you have completed all the steps and submitted the application, you will receive a receipt with the arrival date, which is the day that the formal waiting period starts.
After that it will take at least 6 months.
An example of how long it takes
We have a project with an arrival date of 2023-06-20. The Leader Office handled the processing.
The LAG board made a decision on August 25, 2023. The Leader Office continued the processing.
The processing was completed on 2023-08-29 and the project was placed in a queue at the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
The Swedish Board of Agriculture announced the decision on support on 2024-04-04. This means that the waiting time at the Swedish Board of Agriculture was 7 months. When applicants received their decision, they could directly log in to the e-service and apply for an advance on the part of the funding that comes from the Swedish Board of Agriculture and Leader Bergslagen. (The EU part of the support is paid when the final report is approved.)

In the receipt you will see your medical record number and arrival date.

Leader projects are not ”quick money”
That said, you need to have a strong stomach and patience.
Follow the tips from the leader office. Don't be in too much of a hurry. Accept the rules.
Then you create the conditions for a smooth process of searching, implementing and reporting leader projects!
