The office at the national Leader meeting in Värmland and meeting with the association Lokal Uveckling Svreige, LUS.
This year's national leader meeting will be held at Selma Spa in Sunne on October 6-7. The meeting, which brings together all of Leader Sweden for inspiration and exchange of experiences, is being held in collaboration with Leader Närheten and Leader 7-sam Värmland.
– It feels very honorable and fun to be able to co-arrange this year's meeting. For us, it is a great trust to welcome Leadersverige to Värmland – a region that is known for its beautiful nature, its storytelling tradition, its commitment and its strong countryside, says Camilla Nyström, operations manager at Leader Närheten.
– We think that the Leader Meeting is one of the most important meeting places in leader work. Gathering all the country's colleagues here in Värmland gives us the opportunity to show our beautiful landscape and how our leader work takes shape in practice – in our villages, companies, associations and collaborations, says Jens Karlsson, operations manager at Leader 7-sam Värmland.
Living countryside and local identity
The two areas, which together cover most of Värmland, are characterized by vibrant countryside, strong local identity and a great commitment from people who want to develop their places. In Värmland, forests, agriculture, culture, tourism and entrepreneurship meet in a natural way.
– The strength lies in the people, as enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and associations, but also in our ability to collaborate across borders and to combine tradition with innovation. There is also a rich cultural life and a long storytelling tradition that leaves its mark on the region, says Jens Karlsson.
The two areas have had a strong collaboration for a long time, and therefore it was logical to also jointly apply to co-arrange the national leaders' meeting.
– We complement each other geographically and in terms of content, and together we can create a stronger and more inclusive host. It also reflects the collaborative culture that exists in the region – here we do things together, says Camilla Nyström.
What are your expectations for the meeting?
– We hope for a meeting that is characterized by openness, curiosity and meaningful meetings. Our hope is that the participants leave Värmland with new energy, new perspectives and concrete ideas – but also with a strong feeling for the place and the people here, says Camilla Nyström.
Värmland hospitality
– We want to contribute with a warm Värmland hospitality and a clear local anchoring. By highlighting Värmland's culture, stories and examples from our leader areas, we want to create a meeting that feels both professional and personal. For us, it is important that the participants feel welcome, seen and inspired, says Jens Karlsson.
What does the national The leader meeting in the leadership work in general?
– We see the national Leader meeting as a crucial meeting place for strengthening Leader as a method and community. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, develop working methods and build relationships across the country. The meeting also helps to remind us why we do what we do – and the power of local commitment, says Camilla Nyström.
For those who have never been to a meetup before – what can you expect?
– You can expect inspiring meetings, concrete examples and many conversations that continue long after the program points. The Leaders' Meeting is a place where you both get new ideas and recognize yourself in others' challenges and opportunities. You should come to fill up on energy, make new contacts – and to experience Värmland, says Jens Karlsson.
