Many small streams

…make a big splash! A full 3.2 million from the budget has been allocated for the checks, the smaller activities. Over 50 checks for a total of 1 million have already been granted and there is a lot of money left in the pot. These checks are distributed in the Leader area and in this way even a small association can easily get a share of the EU money.

The tip is to be inspired by what others have done!

Do you want to implement a new activity, but lack the funds? Test whether your idea would be suitable for any of the the checks. The application is handled by Leader Bergslagen locally and within a couple of weeks of applying you will be notified whether the activity is approved or not. See calendar for deadlines.

Purchase of basketball hoops + parkour mat

Löa sports club encourages free spontaneous training. Cost approximately 20,000 SEK.

Trampoline as the village's gathering point

The Karbenningbygden interest association has placed a trampoline in the middle of the village, which was used extensively by the village's young people in the summer of 2024. Cost approximately SEK 15,000.

Paddling with overnight stay in a tent

Canoe rental, bus rental, ingredients for lunch, dinner and breakfast were the money needed to carry out the sub-activity with the creative name. Escape and refugee camps or the greenery of the mountains? Volunteer time from leaders and equipment from Fritidsbanken made an unforgettable paddle excursion possible in the beautiful nature of Malingsbo Kloten. Cost approximately 20,000 SEK.

Rural Parliament

Through the youth check, two high school students from Ludvika were able to participate in the Rural Parliament. At a presentation the Leader's Office attended, the participants emphasized the importance of "we in the countryside must highlight our perspectives - no one does it for us.".

Study visit to Rikkenstorp

Miljöchecken financed a study trip to the Leader area's (so far only!) cooperative farm Rikkenstorp, near Ludvika and Kopparberg. The project included costs for bus rental, lectures, lunch, approximately SEK 23,000.

Biochar

Miljöchecken financed Walpurgis celebrations in Rombohöjden, Hällefors. A kontiki was purchased for the participants to produce biochar in. Cost approximately 23,000 SEK.
