The Association Check Even more QUALITY OF LIFE
The purpose of the check ÄNNU MER Quality of Life is to improve the living conditions for the people in Bergslagen. The goal is to implement at least eight sub-projects that contributes to our achieving the goal of "Increased quality of life". The results are reported below!
About the project

Jester events
The project's goal was to carry out a pprofessional jester performance and a stilting mingle in Norberg.
The purpose of the project was to increase the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Bergslagen who get to both experience and create performing arts.
Ludvika meets
The project's goal is to carry out a concluding community event after the ”Ludvika Meets” guidings.
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the local community. The activity contributes to strengthening Ludvika as a meeting place, which leads to improved quality of life for both former residents, newcomers, and visitors.

The school's digitalization 2.0
The project's goal is to arrange a lecture at Löa school with discussions about the school's digitalization and its consequences.
The purpose of the project is to spread knowledge about what digitalization brings to children's lives.
The sub-activity is granted support as expert knowledge and subsequent discussions on the subject increase the quality of life for children and guardians in Bergslagen. The project is public utility as everyone is invited, even from nearby towns Lindesberg and Kopparberg.

Taste of northern Västmanland – printed sign material and marketing
The project's goal is to produce graphic material for the event Taste of Northern Västmanland.
The purpose of the project is to increase collaboration between municipalities and entrepreneurs and thereby contribute to increased quality of life.
The sub-activity is granted support as it makes visible and accessible the rich offerings of food, art, culture, and crafts in Bergslagen. The project contributes to strengthened cooperation and as some municipalities have new business managers, this becomes a way for them to pave the way for future collaborations, something that fits Leader Bergslagen's ambitions to strengthen entrepreneurship in Bergslagen, alongside quality of life and environmental sustainability.
Ice release of fish in Garhytteån in Kopparberg
The project's goal is to release fish in Garhytteån and purchase fishing equipment for lending.
The purpose of the project is to create better conditions for recreational fishing near Kopparberg.
The sub-activity is granted support as it follows Leader Bergslagen's ambition to increase quality of life by supporting recreational activities in the local area. In addition to fish, also purchasing fishing equipment that can be used by youth free of charge is something that increases the quality of life for both young and old.
Develop an audio walk based on Maj-Britt Nergård's authorship
The project's goal is to develop an audio walk based on Maj-Britt Nergård's novels about Riddarhyttan. The goal is also to create an app where one can listen to excerpts from Nergård's novels.
The purpose of the project is to highlight Nergård's authorship and spread locally produced culture to more.
The sub-activity is granted support as it is important to highlight local authors who may not yet have been discovered by the broader readership. The audio walk can contribute to strengthening local destinations and increasing interest in Riddarhyttan and Bergslagen as places. By combining the audio walk with an easy-to-use app, Leader Bergslagen hopes that more can find their way to locally produced culture. This increases the quality of life for both residents and visitors.
Develop Agility within Hällefors Working Dog Club
The project's goal is to hold courses and competitions in agility with a couple of new agility obstacles.
The purpose of the project is to increase the quality of life for dog enthusiasts in Hällefors with fun activities.
Socializing with pets promotes well-being, and the selection committee views positively on initiatives that lead to more gaining access to agility.
Inclusive training area at Stimmerbo Disc golf course
The project's goal is to establish a training area for disc golf at the start of Stimmerbo Disc golf course.
The purpose of the project is to develop recreational activities at Stimmerbo Disc golf course..
The board views positively on developing the frisbee golf activities with an inclusive training area.The training area is free of charge even after the project. The area will consist of a larger throwing net with four throwing spots as well as side nets for increased safety.

Daily Activity new Heart partner to Unique Ludvika
PThe project's goal is to create a new network between Unique Ludvika and Daily activity in Ludvika.
The purpose of the project is to increase the confidence and quality of life of the participants in Daily activity.
It is a fun project idea to do outreach activities in Ludvika center and dare to take space. The project hopefully provides a nice inclusive feeling in everyday life and builds a relationship between the participants.
Storytelling performance in Norrbärke church
The project's goal was to present a storytelling performance with cello accompaniment about Anna-Stina Knas, grandmother of Dan Andersson.
The purpose of the project was to highlight strong women in the Finnish countryside and increase knowledge about local history.
Cultural stimulation in a church environment. The story is interesting and inspiring, about a person who fought for her rights against Björnhyttan's mill who wanted to take her home from her.
Workshop, showcase, and meeting point for our members
The project's goal is to establish a public workshop area at the MC museum Gyllene Hjulet in Surahammar.
The purpose of the project is to increase the quality of life for motor enthusiasts among residents and visitors in Bergslagen.
It is in Leader Bergslagen's interest to support the system for motor-interested association activists. With a small amount, the activity can be developed and made more accessible and interesting for more.

Ice Disco Bus for everyone to Grängesvallen
The project's goal is to offer free bus transfer to Ice Disco events in the winter of 2026/2027.
The purpose of the project is to increase the quality of life for people in Bergslagen through increased accessibility.
This is a fun initiative that the association wants to test the outcome of. To increase the number of participants from families who find it harder to get to the Ice Disco by car, bus transfer is now offered as part of the event.
Wellness in Ställberg ”Feel Good Day”
The project's goal was to develop the operations of Folkets hus Ställberg through a feel-good day.
The purpose of the project was to increase the quality of life for the residents of Ställberg and visitors.
The sub-activity is granted support as there is a demand for quality of life-enhancing activities in the village of Ställberg. By investing in necessary materials, as well as in a feel-good day where the meal and presentations/workshops are central, this project can create ripples and lead to more similar activities being carried out throughout the year.
Network in Bergslagen for female entrepreneurs
The project's goal was to carry out activities with the network for female entrepreneurs in Fagersta and surrounding areas.
The purpose of the project was to increase the quality of life in Bergslagen through course activities.
The sub-activity is granted support as it is in Leader Bergslagen's interest to support local small business owners through courses and lectures. It is a requested initiative from Inspoteket and the small business owners to establish a women's entrepreneur network.

Glitter Factory – visual identity and graphic design
The project's goal is to create a graphic profile for Glitter Factory.
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the cultural offerings in the community.
The investment in Glitter Factory promotes local pride and identity at a time when Ludvika is expanding and the population is growing rapidly. The board views positively that the association Glitter Factory wants to attract people and cultural activities to the village of Västansjö, and that the newly formed association wants to create a new meeting place that fosters cohesion and community for both those who already live in the area and for the new curious ones.

About the project
The LAG board has chosen to prioritize the umbrella project ”Even More QUALITY OF LIFE” with approval as it will lead to goal fulfillment according to the local development strategy. The project is a good way to stimulate small-scale local development ideas.
The LAG board wants to meet the high demand for umbrella projects. The public benefit is significant and these ”checks” are highly appreciated. Through a marketing campaign, the umbrella project also contributes to spreading knowledge about Leader and the leader method throughout Bergslagen.
The LAG board follows the recommendations that the Rural Pact in the EU has presented to simplify the administrative process for support applicants where the activities are small and short-term. ”Even More QUALITY OF LIFE” is granted support as so-called umbrella projects are a good way to increase the accessibility of Leader support.
