Bergslagen aims for the stars PRELIMINARY STUDY
The purpose of the project is to improve the living conditions for the people in Bergslagen. The goal is to carry out 20 sub-activities with feasibility study work. The activities are sub-projects.
About the project
The feasibility study check is approximately SEK 10,000 and can be used to pay a project manager who investigates the possibilities for business development.
During discussions with associations, a desire has emerged to be able to apply for simpler feasibility studies. Leader Bergslagen believes that these feasibility studies are needed to stimulate larger Leader projects. There are many associations that are at square one and do not really know IF or WHAT they should invest in in their business development.
We want to support you who want to realize project ideas that make life more wonderful for you and other young people!
A selection committee at Leader Bergslagen prioritizes which feasibility studies receive funding.
SAIK Training and competition gymnastics
The goal was to conduct a feasibility study.
It would investigate costs and interest in whether SAIK (Ställdalens Allmänna Idrottsklubb) would conduct training and competitive gymnastics.
The results of the feasibility study could be used as a basis for deciding whether or not the association should invest in development in this area and this target group.
Network for female entrepreneurs
The goal was to produce a feasibility study on the conditions for a network for female entrepreneurs in Fagersta and the surrounding area.
The sub-activity was granted support because there is currently no forum for female entrepreneurship and this support can function as external monitoring.
A natural arena for plants, animals and golf
The goal of the project was to produce a feasibility study on business development at Nora Golf Club.
The purpose of the sub-activity is to improve the living conditions for the people in Bergslagen through golf in a natural environment.
The sub-activity was granted support because it is interesting to investigate the conditions for golf in a natural environment as a spontaneous or organized activity for the public, schools or other actors. In this way, the threshold for golfing can be lowered for those who want to try the sport or just find a day activity. At the site of the arena, nature conservation measures will also contribute to benefiting the biodiversity in the area.
The feasibility study Get Out Bergslagen
The goal was to produce a preliminary study as a basis for a larger application, Get Out Bergslagen.
The pilot study was conducted by a start-up called Get Out. Two families who both have goats.
Through that, we have noticed that 10,000 goats are killed and burned/year because people don't want to raise goats that they then don't know what to do with. We think this is an incredible waste of food and want to do something about it.
On the trip with goats, we have learned what an incredible benefit goats do for nature. They keep the fields open as they eat both grass and weeds, otherwise the trees would like to take over. They are not such gourmets as many other animals, but eat up to 500 different herbs and thus contribute to biodiversity.
Then it turns out that it's not just us who like goats, but most people who meet goats like/love goats.
We want to take advantage of all these ideas.

About the project
The LAG board has chosen to prioritize the umbrella project Bergslagen aims for the stars with approval as it will in its entirety lead to goal achievement according to the local development strategy.
The feasibility checks can contribute to the development of new leader projects where the associations dare to increase their level of ambition and invest, for example, in a new target group.
The sub-activities in this umbrella project will lead to the creation of new networks and collaboration, which strengthens Leader Bergslagen in its role as an engine for locally led development.
