Excerpt from final report

The effort has resulted in a clearer, more concrete basis based on more knowledge that has been developed to enable the association to make decisions regarding a new equestrian facility. This is in line with the project's purpose of enabling a position to be taken on a new facility.

Through the completed location investigation and the dialogue with the municipality, possible land alternatives have been identified and analyzed. The work has led to an increased understanding of the conditions that exist regarding location, where the project group has had to adjust certain requirements and wishes. At the same time, the process has contributed to the municipality gaining an increased understanding of the association's needs and is now working to identify additional land alternatives with a suitable location.

Furthermore, the feasibility study has resulted in sketches and a clarified content for a future facility and which functions and activities will be accommodated there. Through this, the association has concretized both the needs and ambition level for the planned investment.

One of the project's goals has been to eventually create a facility that enables broader operations with increased inclusion. As a result of the feasibility study, the association has gained increased knowledge about opportunities and challenges linked to implementation. It has also been clarified what the next step in the process is, which means continued dialogue with the municipality, further work on the land issue and planning for future applications and implementation.

Overall, the effort has led to us now having a better basis for the association to be able to make a decision to move forward with the project to build a new equestrian facility.

About the project

LAG Board has chosen to prioritize Pre-study equestrian facility in Nora with approval as it can contribute to developing youth activities in Bergslagen.

The LAG board is positive that the riding club has commitment and interest in running a development project in Nora.

The feasibility study report will hopefully be used as a basis for an application to build a new equestrian facility that is also adapted for the disabled - something that would lead to increased quality of life for the target group.

The project is considered public benefit as the purpose is to develop a basis for a new equestrian facility in Nora.

The ambition of the new equestrian facility is that everyone can participate regardless of different conditions and needs. Equestrian sports, horses and the riding club will become more accessible to more people, including those with functional disabilities. It is the rural residents who will benefit from the project.

At the time of decision, the LAG board has a support ceiling of SEK 65,000.
