Knölrevyn 2025

Knölrevyn as a Leader project is something completely new. The project aims to include the participants from beginning to end in a theatre production. Participants learn the process and get to participate ”from ear to loaf”. The result is a locally produced, newly written revue, increased self-esteem and strengthened democracy in the countryside.

About the project

The purpose of the Knölrevyn project is to increase the quality of life for the people of Bergslagen through the art form of theater.

The goal of the project is to perform the KNÖL revue for an audience on five occasions at Frövifors paper mill. The goal is also to conduct three courses/workshops on theater production.

The activities in the project are scriptwriting, directing and character interpretation, theater production, music and costume design for the performance,
stage preparation, and performance of the KNÖL revue. The activities are also courses in theater production.

Strengthened local democracy

”Public education can also be a way to create innovation and entrepreneurship in rural areas.

Through education, rural residents can develop new solutions to the challenges they face, such as climate change,
depopulation or lack of jobs. ”"”

About the project

The LAG board has chosen to prioritize the Knölrevyn project with approval as the work with amateur theater improves living conditions for the residents of Bergslagen. The Knölrevyn strengthens individuals through the art form of theater.

The LAG board believes that it is interesting to have a new project that aims to include the participants from start to finish. The participants learn theatre production and get to participate and influence the content throughout the project. The result will be a project that strengthens local democracy.

Inviting for a conversation after the performance, and also offering courses in theater production, reinforces the positive effect of the project results and can lead to increased self-esteem among the participants and those affected by the Knölrevyn.

The project is of public benefit and benefits residents in rural areas. It is a project requested by the local population and will be of benefit to the project group that makes up the ensemble, as well as to the audience that takes part in the specially written performance.
