Protect nature
”It is important to move. It is equally important to care for our nature.".
We in the area will have the task of keeping the area around the outdoor gym clean, which means that many lupins that spread quickly will be prevented from reproducing.”

About the project
The LAG board has chosen to prioritize Rånäsberget's outdoor gym with approval as it will lead to the fulfillment of the local development strategy in its entirety.
The establishment of the gym at Rånäsberget meets goals within the intervention area Improve living conditions for people in Bergslagen as the purpose is to promote public health and quality of life, as well as strengthen Rånäsberget as a residential area.
At the same time, this is an environmental project that promotes biodiversity in Bergslagen – as a large part of the project involves combating the invasive species flowering lupin that has spread in the area.
The LAG board believes that the project can lead to many meetings across generational boundaries. Where the permanent residents and summer guests together develop Rånäsberget as a meeting place.
