About the project

The LAG board has chosen to prioritize the Climate Conversation project with approval as it will in its entirety lead to goal achievement according to the local development strategy.

Specifically, this is a project that meets goals within the focus area Protecting Nature in Bergslagen as the purpose is to create open conversations about climate and the transition. Together with people around Bergslagen, we want to answer the question HOW we should solve the crises we are in, the climate, biodiversity, etc.

The LAG board believes that the project will ultimately lead to: Activities that develop the economy in the area with a focus on protecting nature. Development of service solutions that lead to reduced environmental impact. Development of new products and services that have a positive environmental impact. New cultural and leisure activities and meeting places where protecting nature is the focus. New networks and collaborations with the aim of protecting nature.

The project is considered to be of public benefit as the aim of the project is to invite all residents who are interested in environmental and climate issues and who together can contribute to Leader Bergslagen fulfilling its goals within the focus area of the strategy. The environmental events are intended to be inclusive and with free admission to increase participation. This benefits residents in rural areas.
