Summer basketball 3×3
Ludvika basket wants to jump on the 3×3 trend and establish a culture of music and basketball outdoors to build bridges between young people with a nice meeting place for a common interest. 3X3 is a game form where people of all ages can meet, regardless of background and experience.
Young people are demanding
The basketball club in Ludvika is investing in an outdoor floor for 3×3 basketball, a new branch of basketball that is growing explosively. It is a spontaneous and inclusive form of basketball where you play 3 against 3 on a basket, (half court) with simpler rules and always music.
We want to lay out the floor in Ludvika, invite to open training evenings a couple of times a week throughout the summer. As a conclusion, a tournament will be arranged where we also invite surrounding clubs. This will be something for all basketball lovers throughout Leader Bergslagen!
About the project
The goal of the project is to invest in a floor with a basket suitable for outdoor basketball games.
The project activities include purchasing the basketball floor and planning and implementing the summer tournament.

About the project
The LAG board has chosen to prioritize Summer Basketball 3×3 with approval as it will in its entirety lead to the fulfillment of the goals of the local development strategy. Specifically, this is a project that fulfills goals within the focus area Improve living conditions for the people of Bergslagen as the purpose is to develop leisure activities for young people on summer vacation.
The LAG board believes that this project should be prioritized for funding as it introduces the sport of 3×3 basketball in Leader Bergslagen. During the project, all basketball clubs within the Leader area will be involved and invited to collaborate and participate in the tournament, which will hopefully become an annual activity.
The project is considered a public benefit as the aim is to give young people access to a new sports field that they have requested. It is the rural residents who will benefit from the project.
