Web-based guide training Ecomuseum Bergslagen

Ekomuseum Bergslagen wanted to increase the quality of its guide training with this project by producing new educational material on the theme ”guide training.” The films will be used in training for guides, in study circles, and in schools.

About the project

The purpose of Web-based guide training Ecomuseum Bergslagen was to increase the quality of guide training within Ekomuseum Bergslagen.

The goal of the project was to develop educational material for guide training in Ekomuseum Bergslagen.

The activities in the project were to produce films about Ekomuseum Bergslagen. The results are presented below.

The films are available both on the ekomuseum's website and on YouTube on the channel @ekomuseumbergslagen.

The target group is aspiring – and experienced – guides of all ages. No prior knowledge is required.

The first five films are well suited for anyone interested in Bergslagen and history.

”From volcanoes to Bergslagen”, ”From Bergslagen to Stockholm” and ”Faster, more – too much?” paint Bergslagen with broad brushstrokes. Each guide places its place in this story: where does that ”puzzle piece” fit into the larger context.

”The people and society” and ”The people at home” provide inspiration for other subjects to tell about, as Ekomuseum Bergslagen, in addition to industrial history, also deals with ”the whole human life.”.

”"Working as a guide: Preparations", "Working as a guide: Guide script & pedagogy" and "Working as a guide: The visitors are coming" are about guide technique, how we as guides are heard and seen, are educational, get the whole group involved - and have fun in the meantime.
