The goal of the project is to set up a studio and establish activities for young people in Bergslagen.
About the project
The purpose of the Pennysound Bergslagen project is to establish a new leisure and cultural activity for young people. Through the project, we can give more young people access to meaningful leisure time in a safe and inclusive environment while renewing and broadening the municipality's regular cultural offerings through new forms of cultural practice.
The goal is to prepare a studio and to establish activities for young people in Bergslagen.
The activities in the project are to
Setting up the studio for digital music production that can accommodate 50 participants per week where circle leaders can run study circles.
Establish leisure and cultural activities for young people.
Conduct workshops
Receive study visits
Recruit circle leaders and start study circles
Conduct skills development sessions on association knowledge.

Decision justification
The LAG board has chosen to prioritize the Pennysound Bergslagen project with approval as it will in its entirety lead to goal achievement according to the local development strategy.
The LAG board believes that the project is a good way to promote the inclusion of young people with different socio-economic backgrounds, gender, ethnicity and functional variation.
