Karbenningbygden interest association wants to learn more about the possibilities of cooperative farming.
Excerpt from the application: The Karbenning region interest association wants to give community activists in Bergslagen the opportunity to join a study trip to Rikkenstorp and listen to how it is to run a cooperative farm. The event starts at 12. with lunch together. Food prepared from the farm's crops to show examples. After that, a lecture. Olle and Joel will talk about their activities, as well as cultivation and planning of cultivation, crop rotation, soil types, etc. Break for coffee. Continuation of the lecture, and space for discussion and questions. The event ends at 16. Lecturer Joel runs Rikkenstorp as a cooperative farm and can tell about it. Olle is from Torfolk Gård. They have good examples of integration, as well as generational change. We want to offer the opportunity to travel by bus to this as part of the event. A nice time to talk to each other during the journey. The bus starts in Karbenning, passes Skinnskatteberg/Riddarhyttan, Kopparberg, on the way up. 2 hours up. 2 hours down.
The purpose of the project is to protect nature by increasing knowledge about green transition. We want to learn more about cultivation, social sustainability, and entrepreneurship. We want to meet other like-minded people from Bergslagen.
When? Friday 27/10 from 12-16.
Where? Rikkenstorp finding farm, Grängesberg, Ludvika
Why? Get inspired by cooperative farming and eco-farming. Meet like-minded people.
Other. Pre-registration is required. A few spots left. Lecture, venue rental, and food + coffee are covered by the leader check, No fee is charged to participants.
The bus
Starts at Karbenning station, Norberg at 09:55. Passes Riddarhyttan at 10:35. Passes Kopparberg railway station at 11:25.
The return trip starts from Rikkenstorp Grängesberg at 16:00. Passes Kopparberg at 16:35. Passes Riddarhyttan at 17:25. Back in Karbenning at 18:05.
NOTE. No mileage reimbursements are available in the budget. Travel by private car is at the expense of the driver. Please carpool.
