We are appointed as a partner in the European Climate Pact
To be a Climate Pact Partner means that we are formally affiliated with the European Commission's initiative to drive the climate transition. The partnership is a recognition of Leader Bergslagen's commitment and an opportunity to scale up our sustainability work in collaboration with the EU!
What does this mean in practice?
We are expected to implement at least three concrete actions each year, such as courses and campaigns. We will implement concrete climate action, share our lessons learned and inspire others to act. In our case, we have chosen to implement The project Conversations about climate and transition.
We gain access to a network of organizations, ambassadors and experts across Europe, such as knowledge hubs to strengthen climate work. You too can participate in EU Climate Action Academy webinars if you wish, see here.
Who can become a partner?
Climate Pact partners are usually organisations, such as companies, educational institutions, civil society organisations or local authorities, that want to contribute to the European goal of climate neutrality by 2050. This is different from ”Climate Pact Ambassadors”, who are usually individuals who engage in their local networks. Read more here.
