Membership in Leader Bergslagen

Here's how to become a member. Email current contact information to the office. The LAG board will decide on membership at the next board meeting.

Leader Bergslagen is looking for more members from the private sector.

The membership fee for the program period 2023-2027 is a one-time fee of SEK 500. 

Why member?

Through membership in the association, you can influence local rural development through the annual general meeting. Everyone has a vote, regardless of how large the member is as an organization. This means that in the association Leader Bergslagen, an association or company participates and decides on the same terms as the public sector. As a member, you have the right to nominate and be nominated for board member or nomination committee.

About membership

The association currently consists of 43 members. The membership shall consist of both public actors as well as private companies and non-profit associations with the aim of achieving a three-way partnership. It is through membership that the grassroots movement can actively collaborate with and democratically influence Leader Bergslagen. It is currently not possible to accept more members from the non-profit sector because no sector is allowed to have more than 50%.

Members must live or operate in the leader area. Members who do not comply with the association's objectives and statutes may be excluded by board decision. Membership is regulated in the statutes.

Here's how to become a member

1. Email current contact information regarding the new member (yourself or the person you represent) to vivi@leaderbergslagen.eu. Please provide the following information:

  • Name of organization
  • Address and city
  • Contact person
  • E-mail
  • Mobile number
  • A brief justification to the board of directors as to why you are seeking membership

2. The LAG board will make a decision on membership at the next board meeting. Here you can see our calendar..

3. Pay the membership fee of 500 SEK to be registered as a member. The invoice will be emailed.

Who can be a member?

Your company, association or other organization can become a member. Private individuals cannot be members. Board members must be members.

Do you have to be a member to apply for support?

No.
