The purpose of the umbrella project FÖRETAG was to strengthen small businesses in Bergslagen. The goal was to implement 16 sub-projects. The results are presented on this page.
With this project, Leader Bergslagen wanted to support small companies with ideas for business development!

Ceramics course with Tove Blanck
CASE
The project's goal was to conduct a ceramics course in Norberg.
Purpose
The aim was to strengthen entrepreneurship in Bergslagen with an expanded range of crafts and artistic practices.
Justification
It promotes small businesses to invest in a turning wheel and sludge separator to be able to offer trial turning at, for example, Abrahamsgården in Norberg.
Total budget: max SEK 21,000. Leader pays 50%.

Deli at Abrahamsgården
CASE
The project's goal was to invest in a delicatessen at Abrahamsgården.
Purpose
The purpose was to be able to offer local goods in Norberg.
Justification
Creating a platform for local delicatessen products promotes local trade and small-scale entrepreneurship. Leader Bergslagen wants to support Abrahamsgården AB in its business development.
Total budget: max. SEK 22,000. Leader pays 50%.

Best craft beer in the county
CASE
The goal was to purchase a dishwasher to be able to wash beer glasses.
Purpose
The aim was to develop Bonnatösen's business and be able to serve craft beer from properly washed glasses.
Justification
It promotes entrepreneurship to have an additional leg to stand on in Bonnatösen's operations. The project leads to goal achievement in the development of a new product, the product is new to the organization itself.

Projector for Hot Spot
CASE
The goal of the project was to purchase technical equipment that enables workshops with video projection in the dance theater project Hot Spot.
Purpose
The aim was to strengthen entrepreneurship in Bergslagen by enabling workshops with women in transition.
Justification
It's a good and relevant topic to do a performance on. The initiative promotes small-scale entrepreneurship and enables Kazue Ikeda's business development.
Total budget: max SEK 15,000. Leader pays 50%.

The wood chipper that kills two birds with one stone
CASE
The project's goal was to conduct a grafting course and prepare the ground for new planting of apple trees.
Purpose
The aim was to strengthen the company's and the local area's capacity to work sustainably with the landscape.
Justification
This is a fun and interesting initiative that will attract participants in rural areas to participate in grafting courses, as well as promote new cultivation of land that would otherwise be at risk of regrowth. This project is part of creating the conditions for Bergslagen to become a major apple producer in the future.
Total budget: max SEK 80,000. Leader pays 50%.

Small-scale wood chip production
CASE
The goal was to develop the company's operations by purchasing a wood chipper.
Purpose
The purpose was to promote entrepreneurship by offering a new service in Bergslagen.
Justification
It promotes small businesses that Haapala can offer the chipping service to households and property owners in Ljusnarsberg and the surrounding area, for example when pruning trees.
Total budget: max. SEK 24,000. Leader pays 50%.
From car to pedal
CASE
The project's goal was to offer cycling to guests at Jönsarbo Farm.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to strengthen local small-scale entrepreneurship.
Justification
It promotes local sustainability work to encourage its guests to cycle instead of driving. The project contributes to the green transition by putting the bicycle in a positive context, and a functional alternative to the car when you are on vacation, e.g. The short trip to the beach or the store.

Bergslagguide, produce a website
CASE
The goal was to create a website for Bergslagsguide.
Purpose
The aim was to strengthen entrepreneurship within guiding in Bergslagen.
The promotes entrepreneurship to bring our history to life and connect it to the present and future. Monika Samuelsson has an ambition to reach out to other guides in the area also, which is interesting for Leader Bergslagen, which would like to see increased collaboration between actors.

Mother's Day – one day for recovery and well-being
CASE
The goal was to offer a new activity on the Södra Bysala farm outside Skinnskatteberg.
Purpose
The aim was to develop activities within health care locally in Bergslagen.

New wave of sheep for a company in the green industries
CASE
The project was to develop the sheep farming business by purchasing a sheep scale with accessories.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to develop the company by being able to weigh and sort the lambs.
The sheep breeding project on the Säter estate in Surahammar contributes to increased biodiversity. They are a gene bank for endangered sheep breeds that graze cultural environments. The project is a way to strengthen local entrepreneurship in Bergslagen with the hope that it will also lead to increased cooperation with more similar actors in the surrounding area.
Winter fun at Udden Retreat
CASE
The goal of the project was to arrange winter fun at Udden retreat in Skinnskatteberg. Project manager Paulina says:
The activities were very much appreciated by both children and adults. We started with a lovely kick-starting tour, followed by a sausage grilling and coffee by our fire. The day continued with snowshoeing and sledding down a snowy hill, and it was clear that everyone had fun!.
Purpose
The aim was to strengthen entrepreneurship in Bergslagen by broadening the range of winter activities.

Project support for a small car repair shop in Ramnäs.

The goal of the project is to purchase diagnostic equipment to be able to troubleshoot and update newer cars.
Purpose
The aim is to strengthen local businesses by improving service to car owners in the local area. The company wants to keep up with the development of new vehicles with different requirements for digital aids.
Justification
The sub-activity is granted support because it promotes entrepreneurship for applicants wants to keep up with digital developments.
Total budget: max. SEK 20,000. Leader pays 50%.

Documentation of Mines, smelters, hammers and mills in Western Västmanland
CASE
The project's goal is to print new editions of the books
- Mines and mines in Linde and Ramsbergs Bergslag
- Hammers and mills in Linde and Ramsberg and Ljusnarsbergs Bergslager
Purpose
The purpose of the project is to increase knowledge of local history by writing about Linde and Ramsberg's smelters and mills.
Justification
The sub-activity is granted support because it promotes entrepreneurship in Bergslagen to print books about the mining industry and hammer operations, our local history.
Total budget: max 50,000 SEK. Leader paid 50%. (A book is not considered an investment and therefore the total budget could exceed 24,000 SEK excluding VAT.)

Staff room Löa school – long requested!
Project support for the village school in Löa.
CASE
The goal of the project was to prepare a space for the staff.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to make a small investment in the physical work environment.
Justification of support level
The sub-activity is granted support because it promotes entrepreneurship to have a premises that offers school, preschool and after-school care staff a place to socialize, network and work. The premises can also be offered to Löa's associations and the like.
Total budget: max. SEK 27,000 incl. VAT. Leader pays 50%.

Offer local artisanal ice cream
CASE
The goal of the activity was to purchase a freezer and a soda cooler.
Purpose
The purpose was to promote local entrepreneurship by being able to offer much-needed local artisanal ice cream and local drinks to the residents of Bergslag.
Björk Kafé och Skafferi AB wanted to be able to offer high-quality local goods and promote local collaborations and entrepreneurship.
Justification
The sub-activity is granted support because it promotes entrepreneurship to have more legs to stand on, for example by selling local ice cream and soft drinks.
Total budget: max SEK 20,000, Leader paid 50%.

Real milk
The picture shows the calf Ängel, who was born in the winter of 2023 at Lönnbacken farm.
CASE
The goal of the project was to automate the milking of our 2 dairy cows in a way that makes it possible to sell unpasteurized milk according to the guidelines and regulations that apply to this.
In the future, Lönnbacken's farm will be able to sell milk with equipment that has been financed by 50% with support from the Swedish Rural Fund.
Purpose
We wanted to carry out the project as it strengthens our entrepreneurship by giving us a leg to stand on. We currently sell eggs, but know that there are customers who demand the product unpasteurized milk. We wanted to test this.
Justification
The sub-activity is granted support when itpledges to achieve goals according to the local development strategy and specifically the goal New products. The product is new to the individual organization. and the board thinks this is an interesting new investment.
Total budget max SEK 20,000. Leader paid 50%.

The project is considered to be of public benefit as the aim of the project is to stimulate small-scale local development ideas among companies. This benefits residents in rural areas.
