The purpose of the project is to make the Fredriksberg and Säfsen areas more attractive to live in by creating opportunities for strength training together.
The goal of the project is to build an outdoor gym for mixed ages in Fredriksberg in Ludvika.
The project consists of preparing the land and building an outdoor gym, as well as clearing weeds and invasive species growing around the project site.
An outdoor gym has long been in demand in the area, as there is a lack of a public gym for residents and visitors. The target group is broad – from high school students to pensioners, both residents and temporary visitors to the Säfsen area. UThe gym will be designed to suit both trained and untrained people, to create a inclusive place for everyone.

LAW-board of directors has chosen to prioritize Outdoor gym in Fredriksberg with approval as it will in its entirety lead to the achievement of the goals of the local development strategy.
The LAG board is positive about the broad support that exists in Fredriksberg and the Säfsen area with Ulriksbergs IK, Säfsen Resort, and the high school, etc. to create this meeting place with everything that entails with the preparation work and clearing of debris.
In addition, the LAG board believes that this project will live on for a long time because the choice of material is stainless steel and maintenance-free gym stations make the outdoor gym easy for those active in Ulriksbergs IK to take care of, together with the municipality.
Thanks to the project, Fredriksberg can offer a scenically located activity area for organized group training with training opportunities for as many people as possible - everything from high school students to pensioners - both trained and untrained.
The project is considered public benefit as the outdoor gym being built will be accessible to everyone who visits the site in this village. i Ludvika Municipality. It is the rural residents who will benefit from the project.
