The year 2025 has just begun and it is time to look ahead.
Since there is a waiting period for a start notification from the Swedish Board of Agriculture, it is wise to think a little long-term. That is, what projects are there that you can develop this year - but which have a project start in 2026 and will continue until 31/12 2027 at the latest.
Leader Bergslagen's board has so far distributed 24 million SEK to 40 projects. Eight of these projects are called checks. This is support that can be applied for for smaller activities.
In total, the association has a budget of 41 million SEK to distribute for projects that continue until 2027, which means that there is still 17 million SEK left in the pot. Leader's Office is available year-round for questions and to test your ideas.
More projects within nature and the environment are desired. Likewise, more projects with young people as a target group are desired.

Do you also want to have your project idea prioritized?
Then the first step is to test your idea to see if it fits the Leader template. Contact the office who tests the idea with the board. Remember that cooperation and innovative is crucial for a project to be just that leader-project.
If the idea follows the Leader method, you should book a project workshop with the office. Then you apply for funding via the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service. The LAG board decides on prioritization using basic conditions and selection criteria which are presented on the website.
EU flag
Make it visible that it is a Leader project. If the project receives money from the EU, it is important to use the logo, and to do it correctly.
