Leader Bergslagen is requesting more project ideas within the environment.
It is the area of intervention Protecting nature in Bergslagen that needs to receive more applications, explains operations manager Vivi Båvner. We have received hundreds of ideas where the focus is on the social aspect. Nothing wrong with that, but there has become an imbalance in the distribution of project funds.
Of course, it is desirable to have projects that in one and the same project lead to goal fulfillment within all three areas of intervention.
- Promoting entrepreneurship
- Improve quality of life
- Protect nature
But as mentioned, right now it is such that too many projects are satisfied with social development. That it becomes pleasant for people if we gain access to, for example, a playground or boat dock.
How should one think then?
If you have thoughts about developing a place, play with the idea – What could we do based on nature? Could we both increase biodiversity and establish an outdoor gym. Not ”just” think that the outdoor gym should be built with environmental considerations in material choices. To get people to spend time outdoors, to get to know nature, to create areas for varying vegetation. Such things can quite easily become goal fulfillment within the area of intervention Protecting nature.

- Create space for nature, to create space for plants while the project is about accessibility and tourism.
- Social food in public kitchens, to make locally produced food accessible for educational purposes. The project strengthens both the environment, social development, and entrepreneurship.
- Underground greenhouses, entrepreneurship and environment go hand in hand.
Step 1. Information
Inform yourself about Leader. First, attend the info meetings that you can find in the calendar or check out recorded youtube movies. Read the page about-us and our strategy with goal indicators.
Step 2. Test the idea
When you know who we are and have an idea that you want to test with us, it is time for the form Test-your-idea. You will have the opportunity to present the idea to the office.
Step 3. Project workshop
If the project fits as Leader, it is time for the project application. You will have the opportunity to conduct a ”project workshop” with the secretariat. Before a project workshop, you will use the material on the page forms and info. For example, you need a power of attorney to access e-service as a customer. The authorization takes about a week for the Swedish Board of Agriculture to process.
