Inspirational lectures for sports clubs
Goals and objectives
Surahammar Municipality wanted to learn from Bergslagen IF how they had managed to rally support for the youth in Hagaberg, Lindesberg. They invited Ali to give an inspirational talk.
Excerpt from the final report:
”"He inspired the associations to start collaborating. I think most of them got something to think about, what can we do here in Surahammar? Do we offer sports to everyone? Or is it only for those who can afford it? I heard that some associations were talking about more collaboration with Fritidsbanken."”
Bodaborg during the autumn holidays
CASE
The goal of the project was for two recreation centers to travel together to Bodaborg during the fall break.
Purpose
We wanted to do this trip because we wanted the young people to have the opportunity to do a fun activity together with new and old friends during their autumn break. We wanted as many young people as possible to come along as it is otherwise a rather expensive activity and trip that not everyone can afford or have the conditions to do. Now afterwards it was fun to see that cooperation took place between young people even though they did not know each other before. A very fun and memorable trip that is talked about a lot now afterwards.

AURA

The project's goal was to hold an activity evening with a cozy aura.
Purpose

Ghost walks in historical environments
This was a pilot project for the larger Leader project Ghost walks at historical sites in Bergslagen.
CASE
The goal was to conduct ghost walks with EMF equipment at historical sites in Bergslagen as a pilot project. The project's purpose was to use a new way that engages young people to learn more about Bergslagen's history.
The project has given young people the opportunity to participate in exciting ghost walks at some of Bergslagen's historical and mysterious places. Ghost walks are based on a theme that already interests many young people – mystery and adventure. By weaving in local historical stories and facts during the ghost walk, young people get an experience that combines excitement with knowledge. They also get to visit places they might not have otherwise visited. The target group has been young people aged 13–25 In collaboration with local associations
The ghost walks have been carried out in collaboration with four local heritage associations who have told stories about the place, people who have lived there and why it is historically significant.
Purpose
Mystery and excitement.
Using an EMF meter and other tools, the participants were able to investigate whether the instruments indicated anything mysterious and exciting at the location. Together with the guide and the circle leader, they were able to combine an exciting experience with a discussion about what is fact and what is myth or legend. Ghost walks have been a good way to make knowledge of local history more accessible to young people.
Movie night
We concluded the project by inviting young people who had participated in the ghost walks to a meeting in Hällefors on December 20. We looked at pictures and videos from the ghost walks. The young people were asked to give suggestions for new places for next year and what could be done better.

Walpurgisday for young people
CASE
The goal was to offer a safe place on Valborg with a fun activity in Fagersta. The young people have asked for musical performances in surveys.
Purpose
Music can usually create joy and community among people.
Young people appreciate these types of events as they are free and drug and alcohol free.
Many young people feel anxious and worried during high-risk weekends because many people drink during these times, and a musical performance can make young people make other choices. Many choose to listen to a professional artist instead of going out and drinking.
Results
About 150 young people came, half girls, half boys.
